Maks Big Tom
This 2020 introduction has won dahlia show awards early and often. It is categorized as a 10” bloom but grows a bit smaller on the farm. Maks Big Tom is a heavy feeder and we saw it struggle to grow long stems. Bloom shape also wasn’t quite round and was a likely result of our unbalanced soils. We’ve never grown a more yellow dahlia and it brings about memories of school with its highlighter yellow blooms. In fact it is so bright, it is always the first dahlia we see when we look at the field from afar!
